It's Beginning to Look Like Fall
Miss Whitmore is doing such a great job. She is going to make a fantastic teacher. Here are some pictures of some of the great fall activities she did this week. I think maybe favorite is the fall tree. She used a brown paper bag and tissue paper. They turned out so cute. Check out the edible acorns they made together. One is a Hershey's Kiss, nutella, and a vanilla wafer. The other is a donut hole with nutella and chocolate sprinkles. She used pretzel sticks for the stems. The window decorations include a fall tree "leaf" globe. Tiny die cut leaves are in a ziplock bag between two trees. The kids turned them upside down and then back and watched the leaves fall. They learned about how chlorophyll is the green pigment in leaves that hides the true color of the leaves. The red, orange, and yellow we see in the fall are their true colors that we see for just a short time before the leaves die and fall off the tree.
